Nothing to do here except to go to Walmart to get supplies (soft drinks and macadamias). Better to rent a car and explore the rest of the island.

Kahului and Lahaina Maui is gorgeous! If you plan on driving around, you definitely need a rental car. It’s an easy island to navigate. No reason to spend a bunch of money on a beach day, see more of the island and drive. Go to Wailea beach or Kamaole 3, great snorkeling off the beach. Rent snorkeling gear at Boss Frogs for the day. Go have fish sandwiches at Coconuts in Kihei, you won’t be disappointed and then shave ice at Local Boys.

Hired a car did road to Hana for a bit then shot over to Lahana to Mick Fleetwood bar & restaurant well worth it great food happy hour starts at 2 pm $3.50 beers great value

What can you say, it's Hawaii! Our first excursion was to go to the top of a mountain! WOW, what a very. Our tour guide (Henry) was very funny, and very knowledgeable about Maui, we learned a lot about the history of the island and its people.

Although our excursion to see mount Haleakala at sunset was canceled because of impassable road due to a car accident? We were still able to get there utilizing über. (Half price and riding in a BMW!!). Loved the Lanai snorkel sail.
