The two times I have been there we have taken the Circle Island tour. The tour is great to see everything quicky (and I mean quickly).

Didn’t do excursion - spent 3 days prior to cruise and day we got off ship exploring the island on our own. If you have time DO go to The Original Pancake house and order the German Apple Pancake - yummy! It’s soufflé-like and has a cinnamony type of syrup ... so good!! 😋

We started here. We went three days early and did the hop on hop off bus. We also went to the Arizona memorial. You don't want to miss that.

No excursion, but spent a few days there before the cruise. Lots of petty crime, we were robbed at a beach park, but other than that the island is ok with some hiking and things. There are far too many people in the Waikiki area. We drove to the north of the island and saw sea turtles, which was great.

Total disaster hop on hop off was more than I have time to explain but we waited an hour and half at stops for next bus (we were told by bus driver that the bus ran every 55 mins.). Speaker on upper level didn't work. The bus driver had no clue what to expect at stops on and on. No one told anyone that the only red line buses went back to ship. We found it in the small print on the pamphlet.

There is much to do here. The time in port was relatively long, but the excursions had some difficulty. If Pear Harbor is a desired destination, be sure any excursion that includes PH also has reserved tickets to visit the Arizona memorial. Many folks who had the Carnival booked tour DID NOT get to visit the memorial. We booked thru CheapCruises and did have reserved tickets to the memorial.
