We spent the first day in Honolulu and took the tour to Pearl Harbor. The weather did not allow us to take the boat ride to the Arizona Memorial. We did tour the Missouri which was awesome. Our guide on the buss was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a second day in Honolulu as we were not allowed to leave the port due to the weather. The ship did however move to a different dock. When we embarked on the second day there was very little assistance to help us find things to do and transportation to get there. We did catch the free Hilo Hattie shuttle to a large mall that was near a beach. After the first beach we caught a bus ($2 per person)that took us to Waikiki Beach (which I recommend). We took a different bus back to the mall and the free shuttle back to the ship. If you need stuff, Walmart has a FREE shuttle to their store; actually, this is a good place to buy your souvenirs and they have "Made in Hawaii" clothing at a very good price. Plus you will find your Kona coffee and macadamia nuts; our tour guide recommended this.

Got off the ship at this port and we stayed 5 days. Did lots of tour around island. We swam with turtles and dolphins, did tour of island and ate shrimp. Did a sunset cruise and we shopped.

Honolulu was nice (we stayed at a hotel 5 days prior to the ship stay). I've never boarded a ship and stayed in that port for another day and a half. Didn't really care for that. Honolulu was a little too metropolitan for our taste.

If you like history do the Bishop museum and the Iolani palace. If you have time (Get there at opening at noon and stay through the show) do the Polynesian Cultural Center and SEE THEIR SHOW (best hula and fire dance in the islands; the locals come to see the lead hula dancer (she is great beyond words). Drive the Tantulus road to see Honolulu.
