Nice cruise. Keep in mind Hawaii is very expensive. If you take an excursion every port, you will spend just as much for them as you paid for the cruise. We did 2 excursions and the rest of the time we went to beaches. Very enjoyable.

Food and Dining

The main dining rooms (Skyline & Liberty) were great in the evening. Breakfast always felt rushed. We had a 4 specialty dining package. Cagney's Steakhouse was our favorite. Don't forget to ask the crew members to show you their personal pics of the volcano & lava. Spectacular. Our 2nd favorite was Jefferson's Bistro. French cuisine. Wasn't too impressed with the buffet.

For quick and easy, with limited choices, this was great for breakfast and lunch. Management staff were wonderful.

Onboard Activities

Hung out at the Waikiki Bar and the adult pool a lot. Bartenders are a great source of info of what to do in each port. Did the magic show and took 2 separate classes on making Lei's. Very fun.
Hot Tubs

Not too hot, which was nice. Kids in them when they shouldn't have been. Didn't like that.
Newbury Street Shops

Pretty stuff, but expensive. Wait towards the end of the cruise to buy any clothes.
Santa Fe Fitness Center

Not very large. You have to walk thru it to get to the Waikiki Bar and adult pool. Never crowded.
Entertainment

The magician was terrific. Went to a band who did 60's music. Give it a 3 out of 5. Heard a piano player in the Pink Champagne Bar who was very good.

Service and Staff

Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. All the bartenders were a wealth of info. Nice to see them rotated around the ship; or see them off the ship in the ports.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The Pride of America is a smaller ship in comparison to other cruise ships. Some of the floors you have to go a certain way in order to get somewhere else. Could be a little confusing. You'll use the ship layout pics a lot (but they aren't everywhere when you need them).
Cabin / Stateroom

DON'T Rent anything on the aft portion of 10!!! The Aloha Cafe is above you on 11 (The buffet). The kitchen starts working around 6:15/6:30 AM. Rolling carts over your head..UGG. Just pay attention to what is above you before you make a reservation. The other noise was when they had to use the Tender boats to get you into the Kona port. Couple of those boats were hanging outside our balcony. The noise getting them down was an unwelcome wake up call.
Then the cabin itself: Bed: HORRIBLE. Mattress was non-existent. Lucky it was 4" thick. Hurt me. Pillow was FLAT. No filling what so ever. Really???
Bathroom: OMG the shower is unbelievable. Forget trying to shave your legs without being a contortionist. Very easy to flood the floor from the shower. Only a curtain and not a door.
The best thing about the cabin was the steward. He was very amazing with towel designs!
Ship tip
Take Ubers to go somewhere - don't do the taxi's. They overcharge and don't have change. Uber you can paypal.
Had to do a tender boat to get to port. It was very hot and the tenders were packed. The diesel fumes from the boat was horrible. We did the Atlantis Submarine. Highly recommend. No ear pressure and very air conditioned comfort.
Kona had the most beautiful water in my opinion.
We opt'ed to put out our luggage for delivery to the terminal. The elevators are not very big to be waiting for one with luggage. We had a leisurely breakfast and got off the boat. Took about 5 minutes. Easy!
