It poured sideways rain all day in Riga! We had a 4 hour walking tour with Gunta as our guide. She was fascinating! We all had umbrellas or raincoats with hoods and we kept walking! The city was beautiful and we would have enjoyed it more on a sunny day!

The old town of Riga, Latvia is an UNESCO site. We did a walking tour of the town exploring its historic architecture, churches and numerous plazas and local restaurants. We ate lunch at a local Cafeteria type restaurant serving traditional Latvian food. My favorite was a cold beat soup. There was a complimentary shuttle from the ship to and from town.
