This was our third visit to Naples. The city itself is not a particularly pleasant port but having been to Pompeii and Capri on previous visits we chose the excursion to Sorrento. It was a "do your own thing" trip with coach and guide there and back. The guide (a young girl) left a lot to be desired and spoke poor English which was not very helpful when the passengers were entirely English! She was also not very informative. However, once in Sorrento it was a place well worth visiting.

Unfortunately I can only give this a rating on our day there. It rained, and when I say it rained it was bouncing. We were intending going to Pompeii and Herculaneum but within 10 minutes of being off ship we were wet through, despite umbrellas and a coat. Had a visit to a nearby cafe before going back on board and having a drink and game of Pictionary. That proved fun after a few drinks!

Very hot and sunny day in April, went on an excursion of a tour of a historical site and walked for hours. Tiring but a decent experience, the tour guide was super nice

Celebrity cruise excursion “taste of Sorrento and Pompeii” $150pp Full day, excellent English speaking tour guide. Bus ride to Sorrento farm, demonstrations and wine and food tasting! Stops at downtown Sorrento, we enjoyed the Pizza! Then another stop at a vista for photos. Then to Pompeii, tour guide was very good, and informative!

We did a tour which we booked from Can't be Missed tours. We also booked through them in Florence. Excellent tour guide. We saw Pompeii and took a drive up the coast.

Nice terminal with shops - we spent more there than in Naples. Nice view of the fort from the port . Easy to get ferries and trams from here

Another amazing city, Did the Amalfi Coast tour and there is some amazing scenic views. A must see!!!
