So many things to see in Naples. We chose “Memories of Naples and Pompeii”, most of the time in Pompeii. I would rate this one of the highlights of our two weeks in the Mediterranean! If you like history and the story of the destruction of Pompeii, you’ll love this. It was jaw-dropping!!

Pompei and Herculanium are not far. They are completely different. Pompei is huge. Mostly all ruins and majority of frescos, mosaic etc. Have been moved to the museum. Herculanium is small, 4 hectacres. But spectacular. Preserved houses, mosaics, frescos. Even original wooden doors.

Spent a whole day on the island of Capri. Beautiful island with stunning views. We did a boat ride to see the grotto and the famous southern shoreline. That was well worth the ride. On the island, we basically walked to the town and cross the island to the southern end. Very touristy place. The high prices there with mediocre food quality didn't make it a good place to dine. Spent almost 50 euros for lunch - spaghetti and pizza - not worth it.
