I enjoyed this stop on Med cruise. While everyone else riding buses, we just wandered done local side streets. Stopped at a small cafe that spanned both sides of a tiny street, ate wonderful pizza, drank great cheap wine, and listened to a guy play guitar. This is the Italy I can to see.

You get lots of choices here on this stop , Capri was ours . We took a 60 min ride on the Ferry boat (think it costs about $20-30 euros each) drops you off the island of Capri , from there we hired a boat and driver to take us to private tour the whole island and caves. A must see !! A couple of tips . Try to hook up with another couple to offset the cost of the private tour , buy a bottle of champagne and some plastic cups (there’s a supermarket on the pier on Capri) get some fruits and water to bring on the boat as well. This tour will last the whole day so be prepared , lunch and drinks . But well worth it . Dont be late to get back to your ship

Some said Naples was very dirty but we found it lovely. We did not do an excursion on this particular day but got a boat across to Sorrento and train to Pompei - Definitely beautiful but if ruins are your thing a scheduled excursion would be best.

Went on our own, didn't book a tour. Bought Ferry tickets on our own to Capri. Tip. Buy round trip tickets on the ferry. you can pick a time to go back but use your tickets any time to go back. I highly recommend that you start back to the ship 3 to 4 hour prior to the ships departure. It takes 1 hour to go back on the ferry, and you never know.
