We took the shuttle and visited the Guggenheim Museum. We ate lunch near the museum and returned on the shuttle. Yes, the shuttle costs 10euros each for round trip service.

Great City, we enjoyed our excursion up until we got left behind. There were 3 of us told to be back to the coach by 2pm, arrived at 1.30, saw the coach but popped into a shop to get an ice cream as we left the shop the coach was pulling away! We waited 25 mins to see if he was returning, no, luckily another group turned up and their guide helped us and let us ride back with them! Bit disappointing as we missed out on the panoramic view and the photo opportunity.

Even though the city center was about 25 mins via a bus, it was a beautiful region to explore. Very impressed. We toured around Bilbao and the noethern coastal towns.

Guggenheim museum was a disappointment given it's human skull and bones "death" exhibition at the time we visited. Only able to handle so much and spent most of time in other exhibits. Museum design and outside vendor & crowd iterations were enjoyable!

The museum itself was amazing and worth the trip. Some of the collections were interesting, but not up to the level of other major modern art museums. The Old Town section was vibrant. We took the shuttle into town. Word of warning- the shuttle line gets very long in the early afternoon.
