once you clear the immigration desk and get your sea pass, there is a duty-free area where you can buy as much alcohol as you want and no one will stop you. Try to arrive early as you will skip all the crowd. We arrived @10am and there was no queue, after that we were on the ship by 11am.

We took a half day walking tour/boat ride/helicoptor ride as our shore excursion. The buildings were amazing-- would like to go back and really explore

Loved Barcelona, but 2 days not enough time. Went to Montserrat the first day on an excursion which took up most of that day, however, well worth it. Montserrat is unbelievably beautiful. Second day did Barcelona on our own. I look forward to going back to Barcelona some day in the future.

We spent several days in Barcelona prior to our cruise. We stayed at a great hotel - Hotel Practik - and it was truly wonderful. They had an outdoor seating area and they did have an elevator. Nice rooms with en suite bath. Barcelona is a vibrant city with great sites and shopping. Be sure to go to the top of the mountain for the beautiful church. So much history in Europe!

This is an easy city to walk. Also, if time, book a free walking tour. These are always excellent. Try an Airbnb for accommodation. Ours was very first rate at a reasonable price. We have been before but plan to stay a couple of days before the transatlantic cruise. Have a great time.
