It was a good starting point, although everyone was exhausted from the overnight flight in. Might have been better to come the day before, but we powered through it, and enjoyed walking Las Ramblas and the Columbus Monument. Port bus was easy to find and reasonably priced and dropped us off right in front of the terminal.

I do like Barcelona, we walked in and got the bus back... after all the shopping and waling around we needed it. Stopped and had some food at the Hard Rock Cafe.

If you stay for a day or two, we recommend doing a tour with BrightSide Tour.. You tour the city in a WWII era motorcycle with a sidecar. While you're being a tourist and learning about the sites, you also become the attraction. Truly amazing!

It was terribly windy & rather chilly that last week of May. We arrived a day ahead and were able to visit Sagrada Familia and an off the beaten track tapas bar - Renoi, which was quite enjoyable. We were distracted by trying to retrieve my IPhone which I lost at the airport on arrival, so missed Las Ramblas & I'm sure many other things. I did get my phone back with over-and-above service by concierge at Hotel Arts, though.

Barcelone is always ok. Nice buildings from arcitect Gaudi. Good market with fresh drinks and food. On the last day we did an excursion to Montserrat. A very attractive monastery in the mountains.
