REPOST FROM SANDRA WRIGHT VIA CELEBRITY CRUISES CAPTAIN’S CLUB ON FACEBOOK Just got off Celebrity Constellation in Ravenna. All the staff were amazing. MDR was way better than we expected. Buffet staff nice but food was just ok. Room service not awesome because food just cant reach you warm. Celebrity and other cruise lines should watch how Virgin Cruises deliver room service. They are top notch. The ship was very clean and entertainment wasnt as it used to be 5 yrs ago but was decent. One big issue we see— ship docks in Ravenna NOT Venice. The port was bit chaotic because Venice is 2.5 hrs away and people just dont know it. So many of us staying in Venice had to pre arrange for cars and it is VERY expensive. Some people just didnt know. The cruise transportation takes you to airport or Celebrity hotel (which is also very expensive). We tried to help some couples with transfer issues- Celebrity maybe should put just Ravenna as arriving city and explain how far it is from Venice. I hope this helps someone who is leaving or arriving in Ravenna. We are very lucky to be able to travel like we do but some people need more assistance. Ciao!

If possible book a day in Ravenna before the cruise. This is a great small Italian treasure with good restaurant and historical sites to see.

What a little gem. Relaxing place with some neat treasures to explore. We really enjoyed seeing all the mosaics in the cathedral and scenic little town

Walked around town the morning before we boarded. Beautiful churches, lots of history. Like other Italian cities, graffiti distracts from the experience.
