Ancona is a lovely port, with a beautiful harbor. Ancona serves as the gateway to the walled town of Urbino. We wanted to see the caves, but there were not enough people signed up so we wnet to Urbino instead. Again, wonderful guide, but she did spend all the time in the museum so we couldn't walk around the city.

We did not see much of Ancona. We took an excursion to Urbino. Urbino is Ok from a historical and cultural point of view, but we found the town dark, dirty and a little depressing, But the countryside on our way there was fantastic!
