Open bus tour

We were the only 2 on the small group tour with Nicholae.

Beautiful port & promanade. Loved the open food market. English speaking guide explained area in Italian language , then very short descriptions in English. Difficult to find public toilet. Must purchase an item from shop if you wish to use bathroom.

Beautiful seaport city.

Shore excursions, the trip to Cassis was awful. To begin, the tour guides mic didn't work on the bus and she didn't care. Then the bus driver got lost on the way. From there, the tour guide gave everyone numbers in case of an emergency to call given by Celebrity. Everyone in our group took a photo of the sign. While in Cassis, my 70 year old mother fell and we needed help. I tried calling the two numbers provided and both phones were answered by a french speaking person, I asked for english and they hung up. I tried each of the phone lines several times and got no help, to say that was majorly distressing is an understatement. Once we took care of our emergency, we went to the meeting spot to meet our tour guide. While waiting there, we ran into some others on our tour who mentioned that the tour guide changed the meeting location while everyone was touring. Come to find out, more people like us also weren't informed and about missed the little train to the bus. The tour guide didn't do a head count once on the bus and without other passengers speaking up that people were missing, we would have left without them. Worst tour I have ever been on in my life.

Dirty city, bad your

Perfect amount of time since we were in Aix En Provence in June. We had enough time to shop, wander around and had a great pizza lunch!

Once more our tour was cancelled so we just took a taxi to the city and had a nice time shopping and eating.

Did not enjoy this call very much. The town felt quite drab with some landmarks that were nice on their own. Also I felt that the locals were constantly eyeing us as tourists and I felt I had to be on extra-alert for shady activity. I didn't feel there was much to do here.

We took an excursion to Cassis. Nice views from the bus. Only good if you like to shop.
