we choose not to take a tour; it happened to be a national holiday so stores closed; La Havre is an active shipping port, not a tourist spot.

We didn't do an excursion here, and elected just to walk around the city instead. Since it was Sunday, nothing was open! So there wasn't really anything to do except to look at the outside of some buildings.

Paris is 3 hours from port. Too much bus time. Only stopped for 45 min. at Eiffel Tower.

We took the excursion to Hon Fleur, which is a nice sea-side town with lots of small cafes. It was pouring down rain, so we didn't enjoy it much, but as it was my first day off the ship (after nine days at sea), I enjoyed it.

We saw none of the actual city - all the reviews we'd read online agreed and even used the same phrase that people came to Le Havre to "go somewhere else". Instead we booked an all day tour to Mont-Saint-Michel which was excellent and we would highly recommend. Either that or to the D-Day beaches though we did that tour from Cherbourg.

Best excursions were to Normandy and Paris. But both sold out quickly, leaving many passenger frustrated and angry.

Surprised here and a nice town. There is a bus at the dock that will rake you into Le Havre fir 4 euro return.

We went to Normandy. I don't understand why the ship doesn't have an excursion for Normandy. It's only 1.5 hrs with a car from the ship and yet they had an excursion to Paris which was 3 hrs away.

Took the bus to Paris. The drive was just a bit too long for a day trip.
