Beautiful day! We decided to take an excursion to Cinque Terre and enjoyed the entire day exploring the villages by Boat, train and bus.

Take the train to Piza for 8 Euros round trip. You can do it, even if you don't speak Italian. Buy round trip ticket in LaSpezia.

Saw the Cinque Terre by small boat on an RC excursion. Gorgeous day and wonderful typical seafaring lunch included.

Port quite dull-looking but to be fair, we didn't explore as not enough time. Visited the wonderful Florence and Pisa via bus tour. Florence around 2 hours away from La Spezia.

We had a tour guide for this day ! And she was good but didn’t speak too much. The river boat cruise we did was amazing !! We got to see The leaning tower of Pisa too which was honestly amazing and a great experience !

Done Florence & Pisa before so welcomed being in La Spezia - researched Cinque Terre before the trip. Walked to train station about 20 min walk through town. Town itself was lovely & had good shopping. Train tickets were £16 Euro pp return and allowed you to hop on & off at each of the 5 towns. We visited 3 of the 5, monterosso is a must & would have been happy to spend all day here, nice beaches here.

We took an excursion from the port to Cinque Terre...three little fishing villages. This was definitely more our style. Once the guide finished her talk, she set us free in the villages for about an hour. We usually found a nice little cafe and enjoyed the local wines. Lovely day for us at the exact pace we like. We can't say we liked having to get to the little towns by train...given the virus scare...but we were vigilant about hand sanitizer.
