Invergordon was too far from Inverness. The port day was short. Invergordon was a charming town.

Did Inverness on your own excursion and the guide was wonderful talking to us as we took the 45 minute bus ride into Inverness. Wonderful time wandering in this charming town.

Not much to do in Invergordon itself, so you need to book a tour. But it is still a cute village.
