Stunning! We were dropped off in Inverness & spent the day enjoying this spectacular place. We enjoyed a traditional Scottish lunch, & visiting the cathedral. The authentic tartan shops had some great value, (well made) products.

Urquart Castle and Lock Ness were beautiful. We hired a taxi and went there. Our driver didn't really listen to what we wanted so we ended up not having enough time to get to Culloden (which is too bad). If you hire a taxi, make sure they listen to what you want not what they want you to do.

Scenic Drive and Dornoch - very cute town, Dornoch. The Whisky shop had a wonderful clerk who explained the Scottish tartans and how they were handed down to the next generation. The Jail is a great place to shop

We didn't explore the port, but the excursion we took of the highland and Eileen Donan castle was very good. Lots of scenery, plus we appreciated having two hours at the castle to explore on our own, audio headsets included.

The town is very rundown. We did an excursion to Loch Ness. Was very disappointed as we only had 30 mins there. Not nearly enough time.

Booked a private taxitour of 4 hours (40 pounds/hour) with Stephen Wilson, the most friendly guy of Scotland. He drove us to the Fallsof Shin and Dunrobin castle. Magnificent!
