We walked around Invergordon, then took the train into Inverness, walked around, and had lunch. Both nice and clean, though Invergordon has a lot of vacant storefronts. If you're not interested in seeing Loch Ness and don't want a full-day excursion, your options are limited.

Took a bus tour from www.Invergordon-bustours.com. This was the city tour to Inverness. Was almost as cheap as the public bud and this commentary and comfortable seating. It drops you off and gives you three hours to visit. Nice time for a city visit. And souvenirs and shopping are well priced in this town and in Invergordon.

Met de bus naar Inverness, een gezellige oude stad. Het is de hoofdstad van de Highlands. Je kunt een mooie wandeling langs de rivier de Ness maken. De St Andrew’s Cathedral is een bezoek waard.

We did a tour with WOW Scotland. In a van with wifi and USBports. To Beauly priory, Dores Beach (Loch Ness), Inverness and Culloden battlefield, a full day. Very nice and very good guide. They guarantee that you get back on the ship in time!

It rained this day but it was the only day in 12 that it did rain so we were not complaining. We visited the battlefields and Loch Ness. It was a little difficult to see how beautiful the Loch must be because of the fog that settled in but we had a wonderful day and an excellent guide.

Hired a taxi for day at port £40 an hour up to 4 pax. Mark Osbourne is a Brit who retired to Inverness and is a scholar of Scottish history. He was amazing. He took us everywhere ww wanted....Loch Ness, Uruqart Castle, Culladin Battlefield, Kerb Cairn (All my Outlander requests) and Fort George. Fabulous Day and super nice person and car!
