Holyhead, Wales Port Reviews

We went to the Caernarfon Castle where, until recently, the Duke of Wales was “inducted”. Loved learning about the history of the castle and area. And again, I would probably never have gone there without this cruise.

Visit Conwy Castle and drive through Snowdonia Mountains!! Best stop of our whole trip. Do not stay in the town of Holyhead though. Nothing to do there.

This is a small quiet town. People were very friendly and we ended up eating at a restaurant that had excellent fish and chips.

Enjoyed tour to castle.

Hardest part was choosing which excursion to take! I thoroughly enjoyed Beaumaris castle-it was not too busy and had time to climb around the site. Also had great view of London Bridge

Again, ship is late! The bus waiting by the tender port for more than three hours, but at least they tried to serve every booked customers, this, we can’t complain. Holyhead castle is impressive but we don’t have time to get in and walk around. The tour guide took us to every place we need to be. Beautiful scenery and even with such a crushed program everyone had fun. I have to give the tour guide a 10+. He did everything he could to provide us the best of Wales.

Stop cancelled by captain. He should have remained docked in Liverpool so we could have toured Wales as planned.

We did the train through the countryside. While pretty, not a lot to see or do. If I had to pick a port to skip, this would be it.

Pretty poor port. Nothing there. Small town seems to be dying. Even tourist office has closed down.
