Anglesey has a lot to offer! Fantastic island. Highly recommend. If you’re lucky you may even get to see the famous puffins at south stack. Wonderful place

Had a fabulous sunny day in Holyhead . Town is small but we took a walk along the coastal path towards Southstack lighthouse and the views were stunning! Just take a right as you leave the port and follow the signs towards the bird sanctuary. The terrain is a little up and down so comfy shoes and a reasonable level of fitness required ( and take water) but the views are breathtaking and well worth the effort. Even if you only have the time or inclination for a short walk then its still worth it- just turn round and walk back when you have had enough. Nice cafe and small exhibition centre near the start/finish of the walk too. A lovely day!

This Is A Port To Either Do An Excursion Or Just A Very Small Town To Explore! Not To Much To Do In Town But Do Have Some Shopping, Restaurants, & Bars! Have A Couple Grocery Stores If Need To Pick Up Drinks, Snacks, Or Other Last Minute Needs! If Feeling Adventurous Can Walk Out To Lighthouse Or Hike Trail Into Mountain Area But Will Need About 2-4 Hours! Holyhead Does Have A Nice Little Church With Beautiful Stain Glass & Architecture! People Are Super Nice, Friendly, & Had Fun Conversations!I Tried To Take Train To Wrexham But Only Seen 1 Train Leave While At Station So Didn’t Go Anywhere Just Incase Trains Not Running! Why I Suggest An Excursion To Be Save!

Although Holyhead Port is not the most attractive of ports, do not judge a book by its cover. Anglesey is one of the UK’s most stunning islands. For a day at the beach, head to Treaddur Bay and grab an ice cream on the sea front. For food fanatics: The island is home to many fantastic restaurants head over to The White Eagle in Rhoscolyn for fantastic Al Fresco dining or for dinner with a view, head over to Dylans in Menai Bridge. The Anglesey coastal path is also a breathtaking way to see the beautiful coastline.

We did not have a tour scheduled so walked from pier into town. A long walk for not much. We found a couple of convenience stores, thrift stores, a couple of jewelry shops and small eateries. Not the shopping port we expected.
