This port is a beautiful place to walk around in. Dublin itself is one of the most beautiful cities I ever seen. I would move there is a heartbeat, that’s how much I fell In love. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the tour we took. It was a 5 hour tour to glendalough. 4 out of the 5 hours were spent driving and the time there felt rushed. Glendalough is a monastic ruin, which is quite beautiful. I would recommend taking the day in Dublin itself on a tour.

Other Then Having To Tender This Is A Great Port! Train Right Outside Of Port Across The Street. Quick Trip Like 20-30 Minutes To Dublin. Has 2 Stops So Better To Go Furthest Away (Tara St) Bar/Castle Area…Then Walk Back To Other Station (Pearse) By Trinity College! Easy City To Just Walk & Explore! Excellent Restaurant & Bars So Headed To One Of The Many Bars Like Famous Temple Bar For A Pint & Some Local Music! Lots Of Great Churches To Visit Like Liberties Christ Church Or St. Patrick’s Cathedral! Headed To Trinity College Library & The Book Of Kells! The Spire, Street Art, & Hard Rock Cafe For You Pin Collectors Or Music Fans! And So Much More To Do In Dublin…Enjoy!

Go online and find a walking tour...and meander the area. Start at Trinity College, see the beautiful churches on the way to the Guinness brewery. Dublin is very easy to navigate and the locals are super friendly!

Wish we hadn’t booked an excursion at this port once we arrived we would have loved to have stayed right there in port & walked around & toured on our own

Also need to take a train to Dublin, nice ride. Dun Laoghaire, the town at the port is also nice to walk around, very pretty. Recommend to do it once you comeback from Dublin if you have time. We did and it was worth it!!!

Just did the Dublin on Our Own excursion which buses you into and out of Dublin after you send about 2.5 hours on your own. spent the majority of our time at The Temple Bar Pub enjoying Fresh Guinness and fantastic live music and atmosphere. This was a tender stop and the seas were very rough in the morning. Tenders took forever as the ship is anchored quite a distance from the tender harbor so, between the distance and the rough seas, tender rides were taking probably a half hour to get ashore. Conditions were better in the evening.

Not in port long enough to really get the feeling of Dublin ... nightlife and music. This would be a great port to spend overnight. Book of Kells at Trinity college - on my bucket list - disappointing. And Dublin "castle' is not a castle in the medieval sense of the word.
