Very nice visit to Colmar in the morning (optional tour), though if we had it to do over again, we would not. It was nice, but the cost and amount of time on the bus to and from the port made this not a great value. The afternoon bike tour in the Black Forest (optional) was outstanding. This should be offered as a full-day option.

We did the Colmar WW2 excursion. This was wonderful. Our guide was so reverent about the happenings that took place there. We could feel her spirit. One of our favorites.

Took the Black Forest tour. Turned out to be a nice bus (Viking has it's out fleet of Viking busses) ride to a kind of nice place with some demonstrations that was basically a stop for you to buy something (which of course we did). Not sure what I expected, but maybe something a little more 'black foresty' (whatever that means.

Breisach itself is cute to wander around but quite small. Great ice cream right by the dock. We took an excursion from here to Colmar, France, which was lovely. Also went on the Black Forest drive. That excursion was a bit disappointing.

Took the excursion to Colmar, the WWII museum was exceptional. But, the icing on the cake was visiting the monument on the hill, and most special was going to the site of Audie Murphey's one-man stand.

We toured a WWII site called Colmar. The guide was extraordinary, the museum wonderful, and the towns and villages were inspiring. Best tour of the week? Maybe!
