Everything about this port was amazing. The Hermitage, our first ballet, the Kommunalka Hone-Hosted Visit.....it was a wonderful 3 days.

You might want to try and see the Faberge museum as well as the Church of St. Issac's.

City very nice but biggest problem is no public restroom. I believe you need to make sure the passengers are aware of this inconvenience. I did an excursion on both days.

So much history to see! Our half-day tours were filled with sights and information. Could use more time to see inside some of the magnificent structures. There was a lengthy passport check the first day in port though, for us 1.5 hours in line!

you must use a tour group in Russia, but it does not have to be thru the ship. book ahead on line ,print up your tour ticket and extra copies of you passport . Bring an individual copy for each person in you party, the russian immigration is very picky! our tour was fabulous, great city 2 days just covers the highlights

Absolutely fantastic ! So much history and culture to see and enjoy! We did the excursion thru cruises only it was great and our guide Ilya was passionate about talking about the history of Russia and of the paintings we saw Not enough time to do any shopping

Went with a private tour with Viator {ludmila tour} Our guIde Elena was outstanding.perfect english, total knowledge, and a very nice person.The traffic was crazy. Vlad did a great job, and was always ready and waiting.

Take a ship excursion to avoid having to get a time consuming visa. Peterhof is not to be missed plus the Winter Palace (Hermitage). We loved our walking tour of the historic center on day two

Was a little scary going threw imigration the first day, but second time not too bad, once you know what to do. We did two trips one river Neva and second Panaramic both very good guides a wealth of information, a beautiful city.
