Southampton is about two hours away from London! Traffic on embarkation day was horrendous partly due to the boat show as well as ongoing major roadworks.

Initial excursion was cancelled due to “no car day” in London. We got to spend only 4 hours in London. Rode the Hop on-Hop bus but we’re unable to see any sights up close

If you get on or off the ships in Southampton and want to safely store luggage before you moce on, visit the souvenir shop Oceans, 160 High street. It is about 10min on foot from cruise terminal and storage was 8 pound for us. We had 1 large suitcase and 1 smaller trolley.

Celebrity had no excursions for back to back cruisers so we got a private one to Salisbury, Stonehenge and Sarum.

It is a long way from London and it's a good thing the transfer was included in the price.
