Spent 5-days in Copenhagen before cruise. Make sure you see Rosenborg Castle, Christianborg Castle and Fredericksborg Castle. If you get the chance, definitely spend some time in Nyhaven at night and do the canal tour. A Tivoli excursion is not worth the limited time you have on shore.

Did ourselves for 3 days before sailing. Highly recommend Copenhagen Card.

We did a tour to see the highlights. It included a cruise which was really wonderful. We saw the city form land and canal which was really a plus! Our tour included an ice bar. It was interesting to see but we were ready to leave after 30 minutes. The drinks were great!

We stayed a couple days longer at the end- just loved Copenhagen. We didn't do any tours, just explored on our own. Very easy to navigate, very bike friendly (like most of the ports).

Beautiful charming city with canals. Little mermaid is not neccacary Copenhagen card is useful for transportation and attractions If you have time visit Fredriksborg castle, Amalienborg, Carlsberg Factory, and for kids zoo and aquarium are both quite good. If you cruise departs from Copenhagen you should spend 2 or 3 days before or after (we spent two days after and still felt rushed to see everything).

I highly recommend doing a guided tour to see the most in the shortest amount of time. The mermaid was cool to see but very touristy. Loved the colorful buildings on the water way.

It was expensive but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely visit the Carlsbad brewery. It's more fascinating than the Guinness brewery in Dublin and they give you more beer. We were there 3 times during our cruise. Buy the day pass on the public bus. It is easily accessible from the port and there is no need to take hop on hop off busses or cabs. There is excellent wi-fi in the terminal.

Flew in day before and loved it. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I only wished I had more time to visit and explore.
