We had a great day due to taking a Hop on and Hop off bus tour. I really liked this. I had seen this before but this was the first cruise where I had booked it.

Getting in/out of Copenhagen is easy on Bus 25, with bus station right at port. There's no need to pay for an excursion here. Biggest downside to Copenhagen was that it was terribly crowded. We really enjoyed Rosenborg Castle, which itself was not too crowded. Nyhavn area was wall-to-wall people.

Did not do an excursion. Took a short train ride north of the city to visit the Karen Blixen museum and had lunch on the water.. a great day, and a really nice way to spend the day off the beaten path.

The Carlsberg Brewery is NOT operational. They did not tell us that. Just an Original place which is fascinating by Historic Photos.

Arrived early and stayed at the Scandic Copenhagen, took a day for our bodies to adjust to teh time change(s).. in hindsight come 3 days early to more thouroughly enjoy Copenhagen.

Excellent public transit makes this city easy to explore on your own. Roskilde is worth a visit.
