We did the canal tour and did quite a bit of walking around the city. It is a fun city.

Amsterdam has always been 1 of my favorite cities in the past but not any more. Too many people, too much dog poop all over the place, lots of old shops & restaurants have closed. I am sad to say the core of Amsterdam around the central station is like a slum.

Very bumpy for wheel chair users not many flat surfaces to roll on and lots of cobbles! Most of the shops very difficult to access too! watch out for the crazy bikes! But having said that if you are in any kind of pain just take some very deep breaths as you go some of the back streets! You might feel a whole lot better from the very earthy aroma 😄

if you use the train make sure you get reliable help as to where you are going We asked some young men on the platform for help and they sent us in the wrong direstion which wound up costing us 2 hours of our 1 afternoon in amsterdam
