Loved the port. Great places to eat and shop. We did a whale arching tour and that was an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend this port in Iceland.

One of my favorite ports, such a lovely city. We went on the Celebrity excursion to Godafoss Falls and the botanical gardens. The weather was perfect and we had a lovely day.

We went on the Jewels of the North tour. Excellent tour but a little rushed. We saw falls, lakes, craters and geysers. The tour included lunch which was very nice.

In Akureyri we did a whale watching excursion. This included an enjoyable boat ride and spectacular views up-close of 2 humpback whales in the water. The trip was fantastic.

Town is walkable. Botanic gardens are walkable. Great gift stores. Took bus excursion to Godafoss waterfalls. So beautiful. Great tour of countryside. We didn’t have enough time there. Everyone thought for the money we paid we could have stayed longer at the falls. That was only complaint.
