And again we were on our own. We walked to everything. Our favorite was the catacombs. We also visited the Archaeological Park and Ortigyia, the old city, which is an easy walk from the ship.

This port was changed shortly before cruising for some unknown reason which meant our original excursion was cancelled and we had to choose a new one. The excursion into Catatonia was good, but it was a longer drive because we didn't dock there as originally scheduled.

Way too crowded - excursion to Taoramina very disappointing.

Got off the tender, immediately went on a two hour bus ride, had 45 min to explore then right back on bus. Because of traffic we were almost 20 minutes late for getting back on board. Didn’t get much from the tour guide except there’s Mt Vesuvius.

We did a local walking/ market tour. The guide was very knowledgeable. This was a perfect way to enjoy the city .
