Took the ship's excursion to Rome as port is about 2 hours drive away. Rome is beautiful and only able to see a little of lot in our trip. Will definitely return for a few days break.

Do Rome on your own. DO NOT DO A HOP ON HOP OFF BUS! Take the train in and then get on the Metro and go where you want. It makes stops at all the famous landmarks.

We started here. It was quite a trek to get to the port. We opted to take the train to the port. Once we got to the station we took a public bus to a shuttle that would then take us to the ship.

We came in 4 days early so we could have more time in Rome. In fact that is the main reason we chose Celebrity. Most others begin in Barcelona.

Just to board the ship. It was a big port and can accommodate several cruise ships at one time.
