Too much to see in just a handful of hours. We saw so many things but mostly on the fly. Our guide Nicola from Rome in Limo got us into Rome in 50 minutes. The bus excursions arrived about a forty minutes after us. We did get to go into the Coloseum, the Sistine Chapel and Basilica but other than quick 15 minute jaunts, it's difficult to see everything. We did see so much and so grateful to have been able to do so. If you want to see the Coloseum on the inside get there as early as possible. We only waited about 15 minutes to get in compared to an hour and a half in the afternoon.

Omg!! You could literally spend a week in Rome!! We saw the Pantheon, Trevi fountain.. ate pizza and got gelato- the BEST!! Went to the colosseum and ended at the Vatican! I wanted to spend more time in each place but glad I got to see it all.

Stayed in Rome for 4 nights after the cruise. Rome is very easy to walk round - we walked to Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, Vatican etc from our hotel. We booked “beat the queue” tickets for the Sistine Chapel and even though our tour was booked for 9.30am (early) the whole place was packed - shoulder to shoulder walking down corridors, up and down lots of stairs. The actual Sistine Chapel was underwhelming - we were not permitted to stop and look at anything, told to keep moving all the time so really did not get to see a lot. Strangely the exit route was a lot quieter and we were able to look at some of the museum exhibits. We would hate to visit the Chapel in high season - it must be very uncomfortable.
