Did a highlights of Rome private excursion with Rome in Limo. In the morning we visited the forum, the colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and Circus Maximus. We spent the afternoon at the Vatican and saw the Sistine Chapel. Very busy day, as expected. Wish the ship had overnighted in Rome.

Stayed for 2 extra nights at the end of the cruise. Seemed like hard work having to look after ourselves after being pampered on the cruise, but unmissable.

The best shore excursion is going to make pasta with mama at a sort of rural farm restaurant. It included a drive thru tour of major sites in Rome, but mama's pasta was the highlight!

Skipped the usual trip to Rome and went wine tasting in Montefiascone. Probably the best wine tasting and food we’ve ever had. 7 different wings and 1 bottle of each between 8. Fantastic setting, outside under a vine gazebo.

Amazing, Big, Busy - So much to do. Vatican, Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon not to be missed. It's really, really HOT though. If you can sail in June or September/October it would be advisable. Not an option for us.
