Excellent City and we just roam around the city and went in the vatican. Since we came in few days earlier we had the rare opportunity to see the pope.

We spent 3 days in Rome prior to our cruise and it was definitely worth it. The city is so rich with history and culture. Make sure you plan for traffic.

We flew in a few days early in order to have plenty of time in Rome visiting the Vatican, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and the Pantheon. I would recommend doing this if you want to see multiple locations in Rome.
