We went to Vatican City. It is very crowded but definitely worth a visit!

We had a private car to drive us to all the must see spots. You can’t do Rome in a day! It was warm & the Vatican museum & Sistine chapel were so crowded..had a long very delicious lunch

The amount of requiredwalking was almost double of what the excursion calls for, be prepared.

Truthfully, we did not spend time in Civitavecchia. We took the Windstar transfer by bus from Rome and went directly to the ship. Be aware that Windstar offers this transfer for a rate far below any rate you will get from a private company and that you do not have to take the entire hotel and transfer package through them in order to get the transfer.
