Our Rome excursion got cancelled on the ship, and so we didn't go into Rome at all. Disappointing.

This was the only cruise excursion I took to avoid the long Vatican lines and made many cruise mate friends on the all day comfortable tour. The Vatican is WORTH seeing. No words are good enough to describe it.

We toured and pilgrimaged to Roma, our favorite city, on our own for 5 days before the cruise. Definitely a must see and experience; do not tour it as a one-day, but tour as an add-on for a minimum of 5 days.

Hired a car and driver, we had bought front of the line tickets on line for the Vatican, Museum, and Sisteen Chaple...so beautiful. Saw the Collissium and walked around, saw all the beautiful sites of the city

Each of the ports was spectacular. The tender service process was handled without a problem and all staff on the gangway made transferring from the ship to the tenders an easy transition.
