A day on our own, the tour guide was excellent at getting us started and with answering questions.

We did Rome and the Catacombs. Best guide and tour on trip although all others were also excellent.

I studied in Rome so I felt comfortable taking a train in and exploring on my own. Caution to those who do this on their own as trains are unpredictable. Allow yourself extra time to get back to the ship.

Have to do excursion as you dock too far away to do anything else without paying a fortune to get anywhere

You absolutely must get off on this stop and visit all of the historic buildings. Adriana (guest relations) mapped out our entire day in Rome and that really allowed us to make the most of our day. Beautiful, beautiful city, but PLEASE beware of pick-pocketters!!!
