Palace of Knossos was interesting, but after seeing Ephesus and Athens, these ruins were not as spectacular. Tour took too long for my taste, too much explanation, especially in the heat. Would have liked time to look in the museum shop, but we were rushed (again). Often these tours offered by the ship include a shopping stop (of their choice), which cuts into the time I wanted for what I wanted to do.

Long trip to see Knossus but it is worth seeing. Otherwise, this port is much like the others.

We had a snorkel excursion scheduled but the weather was bad and the ships itinerary change. We arrived one day earlier than scheduled and the excursion was cancelled due to weather and the lack of knowledge that the itinerary changed. This was a cruises.com excursion.

Very nice nice trip but if you do go on a Sunday a lot of the shops were closed in the main town-that’s what happened to us. So we ventured up some side streets and few places open cafe’ etc

The harbor in the market place was beautiful and great shopping.

Took the bus to the city - much more cosmopolitan than expected. We were supposed to leave at noon but were delayed due to a mechanical issue and didn't leave until 9 p.m. This port really has nothing to offer - they should skip it.

We were only here for the morning and just explored a little on our own. A surprisingly cute little city and we had a nice breakfast here and caught up on some emails and explored the market a bit.

the port of Chania or Hania as they write it is simply a beautiful place to spend the afternoon or to take a boat tour. The port has a great fell to it and the market is well worth a visit to.

Might as well stay on the ship than do any of the excursions, unless you really want to see a Monestary.

The beach wasn't what we were expecting. We thought it was going to be a lot bigger and have shops around. Since we didn't go shopping in Athens, we thought we'd do our shopping at the beach but since we had to take the bus there and back and didn't have any time once we got back to the boat, we couldn't.
