We arrived at 2 pm and I was ashore at 3:10 pm. It was hot and crowded beyond believe so I have not seen much of Santorini as I did not want to stand in line for more than an hour. Very disappointed.

The girls in my group took the tour of the towns. Very informative. The boys did some volcano hiking on a different island. We all ended up in a restaurant patio at the top of the city, overlooking the port.

Enjoyed walking the volcano; no time to explore Santorini. Went up on the cable cars, had to come immediately back down because the volcano portion went too long. Watch out for long lines going down. The short lines going up can fool you into lingering too long

Got tenders in to the port. Did the Greek Style Celebration -Opa tour. Great sights to see, steep roads with great views. Went to a restaurant, watched Greek dancing and get to do the plate breaking was awesome. Took the Gondola back down to the port.

Shore excursion conclusion dropped off at town. Had to make way back to port/tender. Choice was to walk down a slippery stepped ( donkey mess) or cable car. Cable car was an hour wait to get back down. This was not communicated very well by cruise company. Tour was very good despite this issue

Santorini is a lovely stop, but do allow plenty of queuing time for cable car trips. We waited an hour to come down, in the baking hot sun. Tip, book the boat trip as you get off Tender boat, takes you to Oia, no cable car needed!!
