Most people raved about their tours. We didn't take one but spent some time walking around town and having lunch. Locals are kind and speak great English. The city reminded me a bit of the French Riviera.

See Ephesus and spend as little time in the tourist trap stores right off the port. Walk down the narrow alleys and get away from all the salesmen if you do try to shop. Wondeful people, but they do the hard sell.

We hired a driver for half the price on the dock and we to all the key stops with plenty of time to spare
