We had to use the tender here again, but it wasn't as bad as in Cannes. This was absolutely a beautiful medieval city where it was clean, people were friendly, it was full of cats and not crowded. We didn't book anything here since it is a small town and decided to explore it on our own. They do have taxis at the port trying to sell you excursions starting at 60 euro, but we decided not to do it. There is also a hop on hop of for about 20 euro pp. We did try to go up the hill, but the charge about 8 euro pp at a certain point and opted not to do it as some areas seem slippery and did not want to risk falling. You can get a map at the entrance to the city, but we just walked everywhere and got a few souvenirs.

Cute little portside town in beautiful location. If you are fit, hiking up to the fortress above (8 Euro) is a good workout and gives you close to a dozen marvelous views of the port area and surrounding fjord.

We actually picked up an excursion after we got off of the ship. We hired a private driver to show us around. Another beautiful place to visit.....we never get tired of ocean views and historical architecture

The long entry and exit to the port was beautiful. Be sure to make time to enjoy that hour. We did not take or need an excursion since the old village is nearby and fun to wander and enjoy. The centuries old buildings are still used as original - shops on ground floor and living above. The narrow cobble stone streets without vehicles are very unique to Americans. The walls above the city are interesting and worth exploring for younger fit visitors.

Kotor is beautiful and much less crowded than other ports. It is definitely worthwhile getting up early to watch the sailing in through all five bays - beautiful mountains surround all sides of the ship!

Loved Montenegro. Went to an Olive Grove on an excursion. It was about an hour drive thru the countryside- very enjoyable drive. Loved the Olive Grove. Also had a city tour of Kotor. Very enjoyable. Kotor is also close to the ship so can easily walk

Walked around the town, and up the hill to the chapel and viewing platform. Its a small toen with narrow streets, and they use euro, despite they are not in EU.
