What a great ship sponsored excursion. To start seeing the sites such as the birthplace of the olympic games, the temple of Zeus. The ranch experience was very warming. A big plus because they care about their customers

Nice enough little town for relaxing and easy port to get on and off ship. Not a lot to do but maybe have some Greek food and drinks by the water. Also origin of the Olympic Games

As you get off the ship and walk up to the waters edge, there are many buses to take you up to Olympia, we saw prices range from 8-10€ per person/round trip. Once we get to Olympia, the bus company have return buses going back every half an hour. The bathroom line is terrible, it’s up to 20-30 minutes long and ladies were lining up on the guys side just so they don’t have to wait any longer time. With what we paid to enter the site, can’t they build more toilets???😱

We booked an excursion which took us to the sight of the first Olympics. Our guide was told the stories wonderfully. Then we were taken to an olive farm. We were served a delicious full meal with homemade wine. We shopped around the farm, finding some lovely lotions and bottles of wine and liqour. The family that runs the farm gave a wonderful performance, and eventually got everyone up and dancing. This was overall our favorite port!

There was nothing quite like standing at the spot where the Olympic torch is lit to begins its around-the-world journey. Standing in the Olympic track stadium was also a great experience. We enjoyed our time in this port. Take the excursion!

This was the port I was least looking forward to but was the surprise hit of the itinerary. Don't miss the trip to Olympia (Katakolon express do unguided tours for 15 euros return...other tour buses at the port entrance offer transport for 10 euros return). Even Katakolon itself provided great portside shopping.

Ship docked right in town. Uncrowded bus to uncrowded beach. Arrived early but the heat built up quickly making a good beach day. Nice sand beach, clear water. Nice little beach town about half hour from port. Arrived back at port with lots of time to shop, snack relax with a few beers and iced coffees.Katakalon is a nice tourist town, basically 3 streets 3 blocks of shops and cafes

Magna Grecia farm visit was excellent. You get a little bored of the normal site seeing on a long trip so visiting a working olive oil farm and eating local foods was fun.
