Magnificent Ephesus was a decent tour. We didn't feel we had enough time on our own to see the area. This was a long tour and no snack was provided so take along a granola bar or some food. The carpet store stop was a little too long because they really want you to buy but they did give everyone a choice of drink and offered packaged crackers which was a good thing.

Wonderful for me, as I just revisited places from my earlier time of living there.

Ephesus is stunning and worth the trip. Spanish language tour with Reina was excellent. Mandatory stop to buy overpriced leather goods should not be mandatory as it is a waste of time for the uninterested. visit to Mary's house in mountain setting was very moving and beautiful, though brief.

Turkey is always interesting and the Izmir port was MUCH better than the Kusadasi port but I was forced to take the trip to Ephasus for the 2nd time in 6 months because there were no other tours available to those who speak english. It was very frustrating to see other tour groups from othe cruise ships walking around with headphones and translator boxes and not have that option on Costa.

We enjoyed this port the most. Ephesus was most impressive and the Turkish people were very friendly.

I was blown away by the ruins at Ephesus. I had never really heard of the site before, but I have since been inspired to learn all about it. Fanstastic set of ruins and history to visit. Skip the House of the Virgin Mary. It's crowded, requires a long wait, and doesn't include anything worth seeing.

If this is a little bity town, it is a bad stop. The stops get mixed up. One Turkey stop is something they should skip.
