Biggest surprise and probably was our favorite stop and excursion along with Kusadasi. Port in Istanbul is top notch

Wow! This was an excellent stop. We could have spent several more days there. The Holland America excursions were excellent

We encountered very large crowds and a massive traffic jam in the city as we were there on a holiday. Fortunately we used the tour offered on the ship and left the logistics of getting around to the tour guides.

Tour of monuments, palace and mosc's were good, but did not like being pawed at in the Grand Bizaar. That was a wate of time. Been there and so not need to return.

You can take a cab to the Blue Mosque, which is a must see, and then walk to other major attractions that are within a few blocks. Don't miss the Grand Bazaar.

Many in our group had trouble getting our ATM cards to work, and nobody wanted to exchange our Turkish Lyra when we left.
