Fantastic. One of my favorite ports. Loved the people and the food. Scenery was outstanding.

We hired a private driver because I wanted the scenic views but knew I could not climb the steps to the city walls. I'm glad we did. I have amazing photos. We then walked the flatter part of the old city on our own. It's truly beautiful.

the town of dubrovnik couldn't handle two or three large cruise ships at one time; the entire old town was overrun by tourists and there was no room for locals. but once you got outside of town into the country it was fantastic. the food was terrific, the people were great, and the area was gorgeous. the recover now 20 years after the war is remarkable. the area isn't overly touristy, so it makes for gorgeous, quiet, beautiful country with fabulous weather. will return for another visit.
