Climb the walls!

The view from above the city is very nice. Take a cab and do a self tour of the "old city" rather than taking the excursion. The excursion is not worth the cost and you can do it all yourself plus the tour companies don't care about each other, two or more groups go into a small room and yell over the top of each other. As a member of the tour group you don't hear anything. We left the tour after two stops and were fine on our own. Walled city was crowded, loud and prices were way out of line compared to Rhodes. I enjoyed the port but hate that it has become so tourist driven

Dubrovnik was our first stop on the cruise and was beautiful! We walked around the town on top of the city wall. I remember it being very hot that day. The little town itself is also very charming.

So beautiful, the walk around the city walls is not to be missed. You'll need a shuttle into town but you can easily do this one on your own too. The place to by the ticket to walk the city walls is right by the Pile gate. It's about 27 euro if not on a tour. Expensive but worth it for the views and photos you will take.

Toured Dubrovnik. This was a Communist Country that is now a Democracy. They are really thriving. Enjoyed seeing this country.
