Ohmygoodness!!!!! Dubrovnik!!!! We were “on our own” in this beautiful walled city. (Meaning we did our own tour.) Walked the wall around the entire city and felt like we were transported back in time! This place is incredible and the people are so warm and wonderful! We would have loved an overnight here to do more exploring! Another “must see!”

Awesome! This was the first stop on our 7 day cruise on Royal. The Walled City is so cool! We ended up doing a Game of Thrones walking tour that we purchased on TripAdvisor. It was like 20 bucks and worth every penny as it was a very small guided group! It was also wayyy less than the cruise price for the excursion. If you are a Game of Thrones fan you will love Dubrovnik. Tons of food options, and tons of places to drink. Don’t make the mistake and not pay to taxi over to the walled city, it’s worth every penny and then some.

Yet again another beautiful place. We took the tour to the Seaside resort of Budva and then had some free time so sat at a table on the beach for a "croatian beer" and still had plenty of time to walk around Dubrovnik before having to get back on the ship.

What a gem. Was familiar with Dubrovnik. No need to do an expensive excursion, just an NCL transport to and from the city (do not try yo walk the distance). Plenty to do for a day. We will go back before it becomes over-run by tourists. Late summer (late August) is better than May through July.

We had lots of fun walking around town and on the walls of Dubrovnik. No excursion needed, just get to the old city and walk around on your own. Check out the little restaurant in the center of town for some good fried sardines!
