Very busy port very like Italy took a long time to get into main center and a long time to get back to ship only one way in and one way out probably be quicker walking but a good bit away from port

Unfortunately, our biking tour was cancelled due to not enough participants so we took the on/off bus instead. We stayed on for the whole tour and then got off and started exploring. Beautiful place and very easy to get around.

Took a hiking excursion in Corfu. Excursion was scheduled for 5 hours and was marked as “strenuous”. I would recommend that travelers take this notation seriously. While I was able to complete the hike without injury, it wound up being 8.5 miles on foot, much of which was over very rocky, unsteady terrain. The views were nice, but many of us had to walk with our heads down to prevent turning an ankle. The snack we had for lunch was delicious, but was *just* a snack, not a lunch. Once we finally made it to the end of the hike, we only had 15 minutes to swim in the sea. We did stop at a great little wood-working shop where the owner had made beautiful bowls and other products from olive wood. My friend and I were all set to buy a few things, but we turned around and our group was gone. Apparently, this was NOT a stop intended to pick up locally-made souvenirs. Some on the tour may have been relieved that they weren’t peddling products, but we really did intend to purchase some of these unique items. It’s not that I wouldn’t recommend this hike, but I would take seriously the “strenuous” rating and know that there won’t be much time left for shopping or seeing more of Corfu.

This was a beautiful island and not what you think of as a "typical " Greek island. Very quiet, lots of hills and trees. We did a private excursion and enjoyed this immensely. I could live there! We definitely want to return.
