Need a tender to get in, about 10 minutes. Plenty of colonial architecture. Cigar rolling demo. Shopping opportunities are basically cigars, rum, and coffee. Local crafts, but didn't see much of interest. We did the overnight excursion to Havana. Trip, including a stop, is 3.5 hours each way; a very good motorcoach (with bathroom) made the trip tolerable. Cuba is a poor country and we saw a lot of horse and wagon transportation in the countryside. Excursion included all meals, which were good with plenty to eat, a walking tour, rides in the vintage cars (fun) and the Tropicana show (great). If we go to Cuba again, it will be on a ship the docks in Havana.

We always look to do a beach day and came across a guide and driver (classic American car) who stayed with us while we spent several hours at Playa Rancho Luna. Wonderful 20 minute ride through wonderful countryside and to a beach that was not crowded. Not powdery white sand, but still nice.

This port did not have to much to offer. We did an excursion which was too long - 7 hours. There just wasn't much to see in this city. The guide was good but she could have covered things in 4 hours and it would have been better - in my opinion.
