Water where we docked was full of trash. The water is not pretty and Carnival does not have a port there with stores. This was the worse port we have ever been to. My daughters and I got off for 15 minutes to see a few tables set up by locals. The guys in our family walked to the Colonial Zone. They said there were a lot of guards around protecting the tourist.

Worst port I have ever been to. This port is very dangerous, there is nothing to do when you get off the ship, unless you want to pay for a tour (which I did.) There were armed guards at every intersection for about a mile in each direction going away from the port. I will never get off the ship again if it stops in this port.

Its hard for me to rate this POC higher. Not because of the port but because I have been there sooooo many times that I have lost count. Side note: The Prinsendam is docked for approx. 15-hours here. PLAN AN EXCURSION. Seeing the "Zona Colonial" will only take you 2 or 3 hours. ... Then what?

Walking area was rough cobblestones, broken up concrete, and uphill. Guide was hard to understand and not particularly good. Not a lot to see other than the governor's palace which wasn't particularly well presented. We had to do standby to get a morning excursion.

If I’m rating this on port alone it’s a zero. No stores at all and absolutely nothing in walking distance. We walked about 2 miles and still nothing. Kind of disappointed. Maybe if I would have done an excursion I would have a different view but the port itself wasn’t even worth getting off the ship.

We booked an excursion to take us to an all inclusive resort / beach day. It was very unorganized and the beach was not very nice. It was also an hour travel time each way , which we didn't know upon booking.

Had a nice local lunch. Walked for 3 hours because we didn’t know that the “shopping area” was INSIDE the Fort 😂 Some of the shops couldn’t take plastic. We weren’t used to that. 1st timers please take cash 💵
